back blogging from holy Catholic Ireland where temp is approximately zero degrees….emrgency coal and peat deliveries ordered-.good day to stay home and tend the fire. maybe consume some sambuca….where is that warm atlantic air that Ireland frequently brags about?
most of the hot air is still in the pub…
well, it’s winter in Ireland….no snow….yet….but it is freezing….we keep the fire going….and some Irish whiskey ameliorates things…
yep…was off line for a while…technical problem..
Dublin suspiciously quiet…maybe thw paras are planning something?
winter here has been relatively mild…not much rain…!!!
no trips planned except Venice in January…where it will be cold as the wind comes off the Dolomites…in venice we perform our annual panto- this year it’s “Jack and the beanstalk…as usual at teatro avogaria, Venice, Jjanuary 16, 17, 18.
will obtain sufficient peat briquettes to warm us each evening…and a nip or two of Irish whiskey for further fortification…it is cold here…we are not in Sicily, alas!
no excuses, just laziness and the old ennui. a few requests…

fab summer here, and cooler than Venice by 14 degrees C and get this….no rain for the last 10 days!
in Dublin….so far so good…I do recall some boiling summers here in Ireland but nothing like the Italian summers in Venice. da vero!
